Recognized as one of the finest “rails-to-trails” projects in the United States, the Trail of the Coeur d’Alenes has 73 miles of paved trail, once part of the Union Pacific Railroad. This is an easy, relatively flat ride that takes you through an area rich in natural beauty and history. You’ll learn about the Coeur d’Alene Tribe, Jesuit missionaries, fur trappers, mining history, early pioneers and more.
On our guided tour of the Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes, we pass through forests, marshes and along lakeshore and river. It’s not unusual to see wildlife such as moose, deer, osprey, waterfowl and songbirds. ROW Adventures offers rides on several sections of the trail. Bike/helmet and transport to/from Coeur d’Alene is included.
