While originally from West Chicago, Illinois, Albia's passions have taken her all over the world, including to Panama, where she got to hand feed hibiscus flowers to a two-toed sloth named Dhabi! Some of her passions include paddleboarding, sailing, rock climbing, kayaking, and aerial acrobatics - in fact, for a little while she joined the circus! She was a gymnast, dancer, and cheerleader with the natural ability to perform in front of an audience. She specialized in aerial skills, then moved onto many other aerial acts and even into clowning! She often takes her acrobatic skills into the outdoor setting by performing handstands or feats of strength and flexibility randomly. As she says, "you can leave the circus, but the circus never leaves you..." She went on to get her Bachelor of Arts degree in Parks and Recreation Administration from Illinois State University. After working as a trip leader for an all-girls camp in Northern Minnesota, teaching them confidence and empowerment in the outdoors, she realized her passion for guiding, and has been a guide ever since. She decided to move out to Idaho to enjoy North America's hidden gem of beauty and wildlife, and hasn't looked back since.
