Bike the Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes

Description: Recognized as one of the finest “rails-to-trails” projects in the United States, the Trail of the Coeur d’Alenes has 73 miles of newly paved trail, once part of the Union Pacific Railroad.  This is an easy ride on a paved trail taking you through nature and history.  You’ll learn about the Coeur d’Alene Tribe, Jesuit missionaries, fur trappers, mining history, early pioneers and more.  The trail passes through forests, marshes and along lakeshore and river.  It’s not unusual to see wildlife such as moose, deer, osprey, waterfowl and songbirds.  ROW Adventures offers rides on several sections of the trail.  Transport to/from Coeur d’Alene is included.
