Some of the best advice we can give is to choose a great location.  If you plan to do more activities in Coeur d'Alene then staying closer to Coeur d'Alene or even downtown Coeur d'Alene would make more sense.  On the other hand, if you plan on visiting Spokane more during your travels, then a Spokane hotel would better accommodate your vacation.  However, if you have planned your trip and are splitting time evenly between Spokane and Coeur d'Alene, then our number one advice would be to stay in Spokane Valley or Liberty Lake which would position you directly in the middle of the two cities!
