Silverwood Packages - Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: Do these packages offer a good value?
A: These packages save you a little money compared to buying the individual components, but the biggest value is in the time-savings they offer you. With one email or phone call to us, all the arrangements are made for your hotel, Silverwood Theme Park tickets and other adventure activities. Plus we provide you with driving directions, recommended places to eat and other things to do in our area.
Q: What is the minimum age for these packages?
A: Generally kids as young as five are welcome. At Silverwood some rides require a minimum height for participation. On the ROW Adventures' rafting trips, five is the minimum age, except for the Clark Fork in the first couple weeks of July when the minimum age is generally eight years old, depending on water levels. On the packages with bike riding we have bike trailers for kids up to about two or three years old and "tag-alongs" that attach to the adult's bike for those kids who want to pedal their own bike but aren't quite ready to be completely on their own.
Q: What are the height requirements for the rides at Silverwood?
A: 42" is the minimum required for many of the rides, while 48" is the minimum for some of the more intense rides. A couple of the rides require a height of 54".
Q: What's the best time to visit the area and what are average temperatures?
A: North Idaho and eastern Washington typically have great weather from early June through August. It's hottest from about July 4 to August 20th, depending on the year. Day time temperatures in the high 80's and low 90's are common during this time. Lake Coeur d'Alene temperatures range from the 60's in June to high 60's or low 70's in July and August.
Q: What's included in these adventure packages?
A: The Silverwood Adventure packages include adult or youth entrance tickets to Silverwood Theme Park, your local hotel accommodations starting the first night you arrive in the area and the indicated outdoor adventures with ROW Adventures. A full package of information is also included that has directions from your hotel to the various activities as well as recommendations for local restaurants and other things to do.
Q: What is not included?
A: Meals are generally not included except on the packages with a full-day rafting trip on the Clark Fork River that includes lunch on the river. Local transportation is not included and we send you detailed instructions to the location for each day's activities.
