SUP Board Lesson/Tour:
From Polynesia to Hawaii to the Pacific Coast Stand Up Paddling is now taking inland waterways by storm. It's fun and good for you! You gain core strength as you learn to paddle and balance on your board. We have professional guides who will teach you the basics of stand-up paddling. Once you get a hang of it, they will take you on a short tour, where they share their knowledge of the region and it's history. You'll see osprey, blue herons and bald eagles as you paddle through our region's paradise.

Trip Highlights

Enjoy beautiful Lake Coeur d'Alene, while learning practical skills and effective paddling techniques.

Our SUP lessons meet at the ROW Adventure Center in downtown Coeur d'Alene. Once there, you will check-in, meet your instructor, and fill out your liability release and aknowlegement of risk. We are happy to store any valuable items in our office while you are out on the water (wallet, cell phone, purse, etc).

After everyone has arrived, your instructor will lead you down the lake with your SUP equipment to begin the lesson. At the conclusion of the lesson, you will head back to the ROW Adventure Center to retreive any personal items you left with us. We are also happy to rent you a SUP board for more practice and fun on the water.

Getting There

The Coeur d'Alene ROW Adventure Center is located at 202 E. Sherman Avenue in downtown Coeur d'Alene, just one block north of the Coeur d'Alene Resort.

We recommend parking your vehile at the Diamond Parking lot, located at 3rd and Front St. in Coeur d'Alene. The ROW Adventure Center is just a short walk from this lot.

FAQ

Do I have to bring my own equipment?

No, ROW Adventure Center provides all the necessary equipment
for your SUP lesson, including a board, paddle, and personal flotation device.

What should I wear for the SUP lesson?

Dress to go swimming! Typically our instructors will wear board
shorts and a long-sleeved non-cotton shirt. You are welcome to wear water shoes
or sandals, however it is not mandatory to wear shoes.
